Our commitment
The Somali Bureau of Standards is committed to making sobs.gov.so accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. Fully responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile with no horizontal scrolling; images carry alternative text and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
Machine-readable
Structured data (JSON-LD), an XML sitemap and an llms.txt file help search engines and AI assistants present SoBS information accurately.
Known limitations
- Some older PDF documents in the Downloads library were produced before this website and may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Contact us if you need a document in an alternative format.
- Content on the IMIS portal (imis.sobs.gov.so) and on partner websites is outside the scope of this statement.
- The website is currently published in English; a Somali-language version is planned.
