National Quality Awards 2026 & Launch of the National Product Certification Marks

The National Quality Awards 2026 recognize organizations and industries across Somalia that demonstrate excellence in quality, safety and compliance with national and international standards. Under the theme “Recognizing Excellence | Building a Quality Somalia”, the ceremony celebrates the companies and institutions whose commitment to quality strengthens consumer protection, trade facilitation and industrial growth.

At the same event, the Somali Bureau of Standards (SoBS) will formally present the National Product Certification Marks it administers — the Quality Mark, the Platinum Mark, the Halal Mark and the Import Standardization Mark. These marks give Somali consumers a clear, trusted signal that a product has been independently assessed and certified against the applicable Somali Standards (SOS), and they open new market opportunities for certified Somali industries at home, across the East African Community and throughout the African continent.

Bringing the two activities together, the event combines the National Quality Awards 2026 with the official launch of Somalia’s national certification marks — a landmark moment in the development of the country’s national quality infrastructure.
